Notes while you watch the work.
A point count, a focal-animal sample, or a scope does not leave a hand free to hunt for keys, and it does not leave the eyes free to check them.
Handex is held in one hand. The character keys are the finger actions themselves, so the hand does not reseat and the eyes stay up. The inventor’s own tests, on a rough chassis, are about 20 words per minute on ordinary sentences. Enough for a line of notes. Not a published study, and not a claim that this is the first one-handed keyboard.
If your crew already writes those lines in a notebook or a phone while looking at the bird, I want to hear how the notebook fails. I am not asking a society or a museum to fund the chassis.
Campus labs that loan keyboards are a different door: assistive-technology labs.
